The Olympic venue Ariake Arena is light up with the colors of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to cheer on and support athletes preparing for the Games on July 23, 2020, Tokyo, Japan. Some Olympic venues were illuminated exactly a year before the opening of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, postponed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. The buildings were also illuminated in blue color to pay tribute to medical service workers fighting against the COVID-19.
