Sergiy Korsunsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Japan
Responding to Russian incursion into breakaway Ukrainian regions
Ukrainian Ambassador Sergiy Korsunsky came to the FCCJ a month ago to warn about the build-up of Russian forces along his nation’s border and their preparations to invade. And now, after Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered troops into two breakaway regions, unmarked tanks prowl the streets of eastern Ukraine.
Ambassador Korsunsky will return to brief the club on his administration’s reaction to Russia’s incursion, which has been criticized by Japan and other governments and has sent global markets into turmoil.
