Tokyo Aquatics Centre to reopen for the Public in 2023

People visit the Tokyo Aquatics Centre, which hosted the swimming, diving, and artistic swimming competitions during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games on December 12, 2021, in Tokyo, Japan.

Reopen for Public Use

The venue will reopen its doors to the public in Spring 2023. According to organizers, the swimming venue has the highest standards in the world and plans to target 1 million people annually holding 100 competitive (national and international) events and public activities.

In addition, there are recreation places surrounding the venue located in Tatsumi Seaside park, such as a running course, a rugby practice field, so on. Finally, Tokyo residents visited the venue for the first time after the Games ended last August 2021.
